3GS iPhone Price Down 50 Percent

This is probably good news for iPhone fans who cannot have it because it was overpriced. Wallmart, one of the seller of the iPhone in the U.S., has price cut 3GS 16 GB. No half-hearted, the price is down more than 50 percent from 197 U.S. dollars to 97 U.S. dollars only.
This price is even cheaper than the iPhone 3G 8 GB that was sold at $ 199. dollars although reportedly no longer sold in stores Apple App Store. Apple CEO Steve Jobs launches the iPhone 4

Apple CEO Steve Jobs also finally showing off the iPhone 4, Monday (06/07/2010), in the event Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, USA. IPhone CDMA

During this time, Apple's iPhone Smartphone only works for GSM network. However, starting early next year, there is a possibility of CDMA network users also can use the iPhone. Bloomberg reported that Apple will be launched with Verizon as iPhone operator partner in the U.S. January 2011. The news is very surprising because Verizon is a CDMA operator not a GSM operators like AT & T that has become an Apple's exclusive partner today. According to sources quoted, CDMA iPhone will be released in January 2011.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is developing two types of smartphone products in March. One product is believed as iPhone 4 that has been released and other products will become a CDMA iPhone that will work on Verizon's network.
Iphone CDMA production process reported will be started in September 2010. This report reinforced by other sources of quoted Taiwan's media, Digi Times that called iPhone CDMA version will be assembled in the fourth quarter. These hardware components are also being produced in a Pegatron factory in Shanghai, China.

If it's true, AT & T will no longer become the exclusive iPhone partner. Since it first released in 2007, Apple's make special cooperation with this GSM operators and become exclusive partner. It is very good news for CDMA users worldwide.
